North Shore is considered one of the most popular destination spots for surfing as it produces the perfect waves during the winter months. Also located in North shore that attracts many tourists is Ted's Bakery, a family owned bakery that has been around since 1987. Ted's Bakery is most famous for their signature cream pies and cakes. Not only do they serve their famous pies, they also offer a wide variety of pastries, breads, and hot food items that are perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Ted's Bakery had been on my go-to list and so we planned to have lunch there during our shark cage diving and ATV adventure day. The bakery was quite small with no seating inside except for right outside the place which were all occupied, but we were told that there were more tables across the parking lot.



Their menu had a wide variety of different items to choose from, including breakfast meals, hot sandwiches, plate lunches and more. After placing our orders, Kevin waited for our meals while I went across the parking lot to grab a seat.

They had a large display of all their tasty looking pastries and their cream pies were in a refrigerator by the door.  

Black Cherry Cream Soda

I ordered garlic shrimp that came with a side of macaroni salad and two scoops of rice. I loved everything about this meal! The garlic shrimp was so buttery with delicious seasoning and the macaroni salad was the perfect accompaniment. Soooo good!!!

Kevin ordered chicken cutlet with bulgogi, fried egg and spam over rice. His meal was also very delicious. I love how you can find spam pretty much anywhere in Hawaii!

Kevin's meal also came with a fried chicken which was very crispy on the outside and extremely juicy on the inside!

Chocolate Cream Pie

A rich, smooth, dark chocolate custard cream,

This pie was incredible! The texture was very smooth and creamy, and it had the perfect amount of sweetness. Kevin isn't much of a pie kind of guy, but he absolutely loved it! 

I was so glad that I found Ted's Bakery online because we both really enjoyed our meals and the delicious pie afterwards. If you're out surfing the waves and looking for a nice lunch or dessert, hit up Ted's Bakery, you won't be disappointed!
