Our first and one of our memorable meals in Hawaii was at Pacific Garlic Shrimp, a street vendor located in Waikiki. The day we arrived in Hawaii, we were walking down the main strip of Waikiki to check out all the shops when we smelled delicious garlic shrimp cooking from a block away. When we went to check it out, there was a lineup of people waiting to grab a bite and so we knew this place had to be good, mostly judging it based on the mouthwatering aroma in the air. With the amount of people stopping by to purchase a meal, the workers were constantly making fresh batches of garlic shrimp.

Since we weren't looking to get a full meal, we decided to get two small orders of the garlic shrimp which came with a side of rice and salad. It took around 15 minutes to order and receive the food which wasn't bad at all. There weren't any seats nearby except for the seats available for a different food store, so we just stood and ate our shrimp next to the stand. The shrimp tasted very fresh and so good with all the delicious garlic sauce. I liked how the sauce wasn't too heavy but just perfect, and the salad definitely helped balance the meal. For a light snack/meal, it was pretty filling and enough to keep us satisfied before dinner.

I would definitely recommend Pacific Garlic Shrimp if you're in Waikiki looking for a delicious quick meal to enjoy by the beach. Just follow the smell!
