Looking for a great breakfast spot with an amazing view of Waikiki beach? Look no further, Hula Grill is where you'll want to be! Hula Grill is located beachfront at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort and they offer breakfast, brunch (specific days), Aloha hour and dinner.

On our second day in Oahu, we had breakfast reservations at Hula Grill knowing that they would provide delicious food and great service after previously dining there last year while on vacation. We were seated at a table that directly faced Waikiki beach which was awesome! With a beautiful scenic view and a cool ocean breeze, we knew our day was off to a good start.

Black coffee to start!

I love my mimosas and this was only $6!

Fried Rice Fo' Days ($13)
Two eggs, smoked bacon, Kukui Portuguese sausage

Kevin ordered the Fried Rice Fo' Days because where else can you get fried rice for breakfast?! He absolutely loved his meal and I got to try some which was very delicious!

Bao Bun Benedict with Portuguese Sausage ($16)
Poached eggs, toasted steamed bun, Kukui sausage,
scallions and lemon hollandaise

I was very interested in trying the Eggs Benedict after seeing that they use a bao bun in place of an English muffin. My dish looked and tasted amazing! The bao bun was toasted golden brown with a soft inside and to my surprise it went very well with the eggs. The poached eggs were cooked beautifully with a nice runny yolk and the hollandaise sauce was out of this world! There were two big pieces of the Kukui sausage which tasted great. Everything about this dish was incredible and probably the best breakfast I had in a while.

We had such a great breakfast at Hula Grill that we went back for a second time a few days later. Kevin ended up ordering the same fried rice because it was on his mind ever since he first tried it!

Strawberry Mochi Waffle ($14)
Kula strawberries, whipped mascarpone, Manoa honey

We ordered the strawberry mochi waffle to share since it sounded very appetizing on the menu. The waffle was crispy on the outside and had a soft, warm and gooey center which was very delicious! We loved the taste of the Manoa honey because it had a subtle sweetness to it that didn't overpower the waffle, and the whipped mascarpone was light and added soft textures to the dish.

Loco Moco ($15)
Two eggs, braised short ribs, fried rice,
lomi lomi tomatoes and mushroom gravy

I ordered the Loco Moco because I also wanted some fried rice for breakfast! The braised short ribs were very tender and fell apart effortlessly, the mushroom gravy was light and tasted great, and the egg yolk definitely added extra creaminess to this dish. Superb!

I highly recommend everyone vacationing in Honolulu to check out Hula Grill for breakfast because they offer many different options, their portions are big, and they serve you fresh, high quality food! I can't wait to eat there again the next time we visit Oahu!
